About Us
The Underground is a new pop-up venue located under the streets of Bristol in a shopping centre loading bays. Unlike any venue in Bristol, with a capacity of 2500 it has reinforced concrete and warehouse-style architecture, with a fireproofed ceiling for excellent sound quality and minimal sound pollution to the street above.
The Role
We’re looking for a creative, organised and culturally tuned-in Social Media Manager to lead our digital presence across all platforms. This is a pivotal role in our growth journey – you’ll be in charge of developing and executing our social media strategy, briefing our media team, and turning The Underground into a must-follow name in Bristol and beyond.
What You’ll Do
- Own and manage all social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Youtube etc.)
- Develop and implement a consistent, engaging content strategy that reflects our brand values and voice
- Brief and coordinate with our media team (designers, photographers, videographers) to bring campaigns to life
- Plan content calendars and post schedules in line with key events, launches and campaigns
- Analyse performance data to refine strategies and grow engagement, reach and community
- Stay on top of trends, memes, and moments to keep The Underground relevant and reactive
- Help shape the digital storytelling and cultural positioning of The Underground as it grows
Who You Are
- You’ve managed brand or creative social media accounts before (1–2 years experience preferred)
- A natural content creator with a strong visual eye and a feel for tone, language and rhythm
- Organised, self-starting and full of ideas
- Bristol-based or very familiar with the city’s scene, culture, and creative energy
- You understand how to brief and collaborate with creatives and media teams
- Comfortable using tools like Adobe, Later, Meta Business Suite, or similar
Nice to Haves
- Video editing skills for Reels/TikTok
- Photography or design background
- Experience in the events, music, fashion or culture space
